There’s really not a lot I’d go back and do differently. But there is one thing.

Before my endometriosis diagnosis, I never thought to question what was in my skincare. I was careful about food and tried to avoid toxins in my home but somehow, the products I was putting on my skin each day didn’t get the same scrutiny even though I am a trained beauty therapist.

Looking back now, I wish someone had told me to look closer - especially those responsible for training beauty therapists back in my day!

Because what we put on our skin doesn’t just sit there. It’s absorbed and it starts as quickly as 26 seconds after being on your skin. Depending on the ingredients, it can either support your skin and body, or silently stress it out even more.

Your skin and body are messengers

Back then, I couldn’t work out why my skin was constantly reactive. Breakouts, dryness, redness it all felt random. But it wasn’t. My skin was trying to tell me something.

It was a mirror of what was going on internally. My hormones were out of balance. My body was inflamed. And the skincare I was using (which I thought was gentle) was full of synthetic fillers, artificial fragrance, and hormone-disrupting preservatives.

No wonder my skin was angry. And once I found out, so was I. How are these ingredients even allowed?

The truth about ‘clean’ beauty

Even now, terms like natural or clean don’t mean much. Brands can still use them while including harmful and irritating ingredients.

It’s exhausting to read every label. But here’s the shortcut I wish I had sooner:

Start with the most nourishing basics. And keep them simple.

Your skin doesn’t need 10 different products or a rotating list of actives. It needs a break more often than not. A few carefully chosen products in your routine that actually help it recover and strengthen itself.

What I use now

These days, I use fewer products and I’m more mindful about what’s in them.

One of the biggest shifts? Switching to my own Healthy Glow Face Oil. It's a multi-use miracle in a bottle.

It’s only made with natural, toxin-free ingredients such as:

  • Olive squalane which supports your skin’s natural barrier and mimics the skin’s own oils.

  • Rose which is deeply hydrating and rich in antioxidants such as Vitamin C. It even encourages cell renewal, to help combat signs of ageing.

  • Bisabolol which is a natural compound from chamomile that helps soothe and reduce redness.

Pure, nourishing ingredients with no filler, no synthetic fragrance, and nothing your skin doesn’t need.

It was created for all of us looking to reclaim our glow!

If you’re in the thick of it

Maybe you’re still figuring out what’s going on in your body. Maybe you’ve already been diagnosed. Either way, I see you.

Your skin and body aren't meaning to be difficult - they're asking for support.

And starting with gentler, non-toxic products is a small shift that brings a lot of relief. You don’t need to overhaul everything overnight. Start with one change. Start small.

Start with your face oil.

Try the Healthy Glow Face Oil
