Skincare seems to be getting more and more complicated. Ten steps, multiple serums, layers of treatments… it’s enough to make your head spin.

But trust me when I say your skin doesn’t need a cupboard full of products to look healthy and glowing.

Here are five ways to simplify!

Focus on the essentials
A gentle cleanse, hydration, and protection (think oil or moisturiser, plus sunscreen during the day).

Choose multi-tasking products
The fastest way to simplify your routine is to look for extra efficient products! A good face oil, for example, can work as daily hydration, an overnight mask, or even mixed with foundation for a youthful finish. What about a face exfoliant that can also be left on for 5-10 minutes afterwards to act as a purifying mask? I’ve got you!

Don’t overload your skin
Too many active ingredients at once can cause irritation. Keep it simple and give your skin consistency instead of chaos.

I have helped numerous people (especially teens who are overwhelmed by every latest trend) go from stressed and inflamed skin to calm skin in a matter of days by showing them how less is often more.

The same can be said for us (ahem ageing) women who want every new antiageing cream on the market!

Build habits, not clutter
Consistency matters more than the number of products. Stick to a simple ritual morning and night and add your exfoliant in twice a week for healthy glowing skin!

Listen to your skin
Your skin will tell you when it needs more hydration, or when it feels balanced. Pay attention and adapt, rather than sticking to rigid rules. Work with your skin and not against it – I am here to help.

A streamlined routine often works better than an overloaded one  - and saves you both time and money while also helping the planet.
